A Dedicated Music Teacher

Amber Zuniga, lyric mezzo-soprano, received her Bachelor of Music from the University of Central Oklahoma, studying both vocal performance and collaborative piano. She received her Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from UCO, studying voice with Dr. Barbara Streets. Amber has run and maintained a private voice and piano studio in Edmond, Studio Z Music Lessons, for the past 12 years. She is also the preschool-8th grade general music teacher at HTL Private School in Edmond. Amber is tremendously grateful for the inspiration she receives from her students. In addition to teaching music, Amber is equally at home on the performance stage. Favorite roles include Ma in The Tender Land, Serse in Serse, Meg in Little Women, Ruth in Pirates of Penzance, and Hansel in Hansel and Gretel. Amber has most recently been seen touring elementary schools singing in the children’s opera, Tales from the Brothers Grimm, with Cimarron Opera Company. Aside from singing and teaching, Amber is also a certified yoga teacher, and enjoys performing with her chamber ensemble, The Central Piano Triet, six hands at one piano group.  In her free time, she likes to learn guitar and swing dance! 💃 She is always excited to meet new students and be a part of their musical journey!
